Wet weekend!

Yesss. The water tank will be filling up nicely. It rained all day on Saturday so Rowan hooked up the pipes and down came the rain ( and washed the plastic out). And  today Row ran the pipes down into the tank and in a while - I have no idea how long, we will have water for our bathroom.

Rowan and Dave spent the wet soggy day on Saturday running the water pipes all over the place.

Dave was so quick and had everything under control in just a few hours. We still need to install the toilet- when we finally decide on the right one.

Next week we are hoping to have the electrician instal the wiring in time for us to do the insulation.
It's almost gib weekend, which is lucky because the following weekend is move in weekend.

The working bees

So it's been a busy week on the land. Rowan has spent his weeknights drain laying the pipes between the shed, septictank and water tank. We are nearly ready to collect water off the roof

This weekend we had the build team from Family Construction in to build the internal framing. It's was amazing to see how fast the walls went up!
They had quite a system going...
Someone taking measurements- sending in the orders- the drop saw cutting timber to length-and finally the lucky one with the nail gun got to shoot them in place!

Amazing progress this weekend! We feel a week ahead of ourselves now....will see how long that lasts :)

Stage One Complete!

It's done. The builders have finished with their part. The shed is a lock up shell
( well except for Rowan's fancy doors).
We're really happy with the build. The builders have finished it really nicely. It's a very tidy looking garage.

Bedroom and kitchen windows.

We've had lots of visitors during this build.
Enjoying the autumn sun on the 'deck'

One more sleep....

Windows in....
Then windows out, cladding up.

Now that the digger has gone this  guy had to get digging to clear the water tank pad after the rain washed part of the walls in.
Water tank target.

Water tank in. Rowan's pretty happy to have this in the ground. He didn't  want to be digging out any more collapsed walls. But now he has a big job backfilling all that clay with his trusty shovel.
He looks pretty excited about it!!!

One day till moving day....
