It's hard to believe this time last year we had purchased this place and only had a thought of how we could even put in the driveway. To be honest I was unbelievably naive about how much work Was ahead of us, or in particular in store for Rowan.
We've both learnt so much.
Me, I've learnt that good things take time, and Rowan is a very particular craftsman and cutting corners is not an option.
Rowan's learnt that installing your own septic tank is a huge task. You can sneak new tools into the shed and claim you've had them all along. And that blue joinery actually looks quite cool.
There's still a few small jobs to finish off like the fire surround, kitchen bench and of course the deck. Nothing we can't fix up in a few months.
